New high-pressure globe valve Type 01C07 for GH₂ transport systems

HEROSE introduces the new Type 01C07 hydrogen transport valve for GH₂ transport systems – engineered for maximum tightness and operational safety in applications up to 500 bar.

As the global hydrogen economy continues to grow, so do the demands on the safe transportation of gaseous hydrogen. With the new Type 01C07 high-pressure globe valve, HEROSE expands its portfolio with a solution specifically engineered for GH₂ transport systems. Designed for operating pressures of up to 500 bar, the valve combines outstanding tightness, maximum operational safety and a robust design for demanding hydrogen transport applications.

Engineered for demanding hydrogen transport applications

The Type 01C07 has been specifically developed for transportable pressure vessels, Multiple Element Gas Containers (MEGCs) and tube trailers. It complies with EN ISO 10297 (TPED & TPER) and is approved for hydrogen, helium and nitrogen service. Available with either flange or cone connections, the valve can be easily integrated into a wide range of transport system designs.

Maximum tightness for maximum safety

Reliable hydrogen sealing was the primary focus throughout the development process. The valve has been successfully leak-tested with hydrogen across its entire operating temperature range. Hydrogen-compatible materials and sealing elements tested for resistance to explosive decompression ensure maximum operational safety. Additional features include an ergonomic handwheel with low operating torque, a clearly visible position indicator and high flow capacity for efficient filling and unloading operations. Extensive endurance testing, including 10,000 full pressure cycles, confirms the valve's suitability for long-term operation in demanding transport applications.

Developed in collaboration – designed for the market

The new high-pressure globe valve was developed in close cooperation with a global gas supplier to meet the increasing demands of modern hydrogen transport systems. Following successful validation, the valve is already in service in the first GH₂ transport systems and will also be available to other manufacturers and operators of hydrogen transport solutions.

With the launch of the new Type 01C07, HEROSE continues to expand its hydrogen portfolio.
