Goin' down-hit the ground runnin'

Time means nothin' now
Goin' down--wontcha come along with me?
People come and people go
They wander to and fro
Listen to the wind blow
Time is rushin' through me like the blood in my veins
Time in one thing you can never change
You can wonder, wander, gander, slander,
Pick up sticks or just meander on...

It's something never ending you had to go through

To Whom it may concern:
I am writing to recommend the ministry of The Soul Rangers to your organization.
During the course of the last three years, I have enjoyed watching the development of this band. From earlier years under the name Velvet Elvis, to the current Soul Rangers project, I have been impressed with their creativity, passion to inspire the church, dedication to quality, and joy in serving the Lord.
I have had the special privilege of sharing a friendship with two members of the group: Mark and Lyndsee Flint. Our many hours spent devouring the daily special at the local diner have led me to a great respect for them. I know their kids and their pets. I know their family and friends. I know how they spend the few spare hours not devoted to family, work, church, or band. These people are knee deep in the every day reality of living out their faith in a hostile world.
They are first and foremost, deeply committed to Christ. I have watched them through struggles with family and rough times at church. Their devotion to the Lord and their church family persevered. You will see in their music a deep longing for an authentic, passionate, dynamic faith.
There is another quality I admire in this band. They have fun. My involvement in church music has, time and again, brought me face to face with people who can't seem to let the glory of their message reach their hearts or their faces. The Soul Rangers play with a healthy dose of laughter.
I assume that if you are reading this note, you are considering The Soul Rangers for an appearance, or for distribution. They will not disappoint you.

Tom Burks

It has been my privilege to know personally the members of The Soul Rangers band for several years. I have attended several of their concerts and I feel they have something positive and powerful to say to their audiences about the love of God.
In good conscience I recommend these precious brothers and sister in Christ in the ministry God has obviously given them.

To Whom it may concern:
The Soul Rangers are a breath of fresh air in comparison to most new alternative/Chr groups. They are upbeat, positive melodic melodies with great dynamics, which appeals to a larger audience than most. This has been a great 'in store' play album that has drawn the question 'What album is that!' from teens and adults.
The best part is that I know personally that each of the members of The Soul Rangers is sold out to Christ, and is a faithful member of a local church, committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I personally am proud and thankful to be a friend to each and every member.

Making their mark as a hot new alternative pop rock band, The Soul Rangers combines energetic vocals and tight guitars in their debut release 'Life In Here' on HEROSE Records. The group has a vision to create music that provides fellowship opportunities and encourages unity in the faith.
'Smart, infectious power pop...music so bright you gotta wear shades.'
Thom Granger
CCM Magazine
'They left an impression...their ministry is an example to the youth today about why they can be exited for God.'
Tom Bell, Youth Director
Minneapolis, MN
'A burst of freshness on the Christian music scene. Very listenable. Stays with you long after the disc is done. Fun and thoughtful.'
Don Durham, Program Director, KCFY 88.1 FM Yuma, AZ
'The Soul Rangers' music is fantastic! and Lyndsee's voice is pure serendipity.'
Fats Johnson
Former Lead Singer for the Christy Minstrels
Refreshing Style
The Soul Rangers achieves a rich combination of human reflection and artistry which is inspiring and renewing the faith of fans across the country. Their lyrics and style are ageless and fun, appealing across generational lines.
Their unique blend of rhythms and vocals have been inspired by the likes of Elvis Costello and The Pretenders in their early years, yet their sound is fresh and exciting to the contemporary Christian music scene.
Exciting Debut Release
Their debut release features uplifting songs of faith including their first single, Brand New Day. The album is a reflective message of hope and a challenge toward spiritual growth. Inspired by years in music ministry and hearts longing to share the Gospel, their lyrics speak to fears, challenges, and hopes of younger generations.
'The message of Revival is of breaking out of old routines and finding the most fulfilling way to survive in a tired world' explains Lyndsee Flint, the lead singer for the group. The song explains: If you want to be on fire/There's a good place to start/Revival sent from heaven above/Put your hands into the air and go back to your first love!
Growing Exposure
Opening for bands like David and the Giants and NewSong and for Dawson McAllister (host of the nationally-syndicated talk show 'Dawson McAllister Live') has broadened their exposure and provided opportunities to introduce their ministry to larger audiences. 'I am so excited that we have the opportunity to influence the way people encounter life and God,' says drummer Derron Miller.
The Soul Rangers' single Brand New Day was released nationally on the November/December '98 CD MACC sampler which also features Rebecca St. James, DC Talk, and Micheal W. Smith. That release should be in the hands of most Christian radio stations in the United States. The Soul Rangers was also a featured band on the nationaly-syndicated Christian rock music radio show, 'Super Sonic Central,' in October 1998 as well as a live performance March 1999. 'Music Choice' in Europe is now playing ten of the eleven cuts off of their new CD 'Life In Here.'
Whole-hearted Dedication
'We have evolved and grown a lot in the three years it has taken to get to this point,' says lead guitarist and backup vocalist Mark Flint. 'Now it's so exciting and gratifying to see how the Lord is using this music. He's opening doors and inspiring people.'
The group remains inspired by Paul's words to Timothy, 'Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.' (1 Timothy 4:15-16)"); }
