HEROSE guarantees a leakage of 0 bubbles up to 95% of the triggering pressure (See API 527).
After this, the cone of the safety valve begins to float on its seat, until the safety valve audibly begins to open at the set triggering pressure. Due to external influences on the safety valve (vibration, temperature increase), it may possibly open earlier.
Therefore, HEROSE recommends that the maximum operating pressure is limited to 85% of the safety valve triggering pressure. This ensures a seal in all cases.
